We had already reported that director Koratala Siva is filming a high-voltage fight sequence on Ram Charan in the specially erected Dharmasthali village set for Acharya. Sources close to the development revealed to us that it's going to be a spectacular rain fight that comes at a crucial phase in the film. "The fight is going to be one of the high points of Acharya and it would bring double excitement than Prabhas's rain fight in Mirchi. This fight will also drive the narration and make things interesting in the second half of the film," says a source.
Starring Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal, Acharya has music by Mani Sharma and the makers are planning to wrap up the entire shooting by this month-end. The film will see Sonu Sood as the antagonist and Jisshu Sen Gupta, Tanikella Bharani and Ajay in supporting roles. "Sonu Sood will join the sets today and he will wrap up his portions by April 17," the source adds.
Set in the backdrop of Uttarandhra, the film is a socio-political entertainer that will present both Chiru and Charan as naxalites. The film also has a special song of Regina Cassandra alongside Chiranjeevi.
Acharya was supposed to hit the screens on May 13, but it has been postponed indefinitely due to rising Covid-19 cases. The new release date is yet to be finalised.
