Ram Charan, after quick holidaying has joined the shoot of his next film Dhruva in the direction of Surender Reddy. Dhruva is the Tamil redo of Jayam Ravi's Thani Oruvan. While Rakul Preet is reprising Nayanatara's role, Aravind Swamy is reprising himself.

Following the damp squib called Bruce Lee, Ram Charan has gotten to be particular about scripts. He finalized the action thriller Dhruva after much forethought. Surender Reddy, who earlier directed Mega Hero Allu Arjun for Race Gurram, is directing his second one for yet another hero from the same compound. Surender Reddy's last release Kick 2 turned out to be lemon. Thus, the hero-director duo are working with a vengeance.

Ram Charan will be seen as a trainee IPS officer. Rakul Preet is pairing second time with Cherry, the first being for Bruce Lee. This thriller is produced by Allu Aravind under the banner Geetha Arts.
