It's now almost certain that Shankar will be wielding the megaphone for a Ram Charan film this year. Dil Raju, the ace Tollywood producer, is going to bankroll the project.
Nothing could have excited Mega fans more than this piece of news. The 'Rangasthalam' actor is perhaps the only Telugu star to act with two of the biggest south Indian directors back to back. After SS Rajamouli, only Shankar is known for making visual spectacles on a vast scale. So, Charan getting to team up with the '2.0' director after 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram' has to be the biggest news around.
Even a pan-India star like Prabhas happened to work with one-film old directors (read Sujeeth and Radha Krishna Kumar) after the 'Baahubali' franchise. In the case of Charan, luck has favoured him big-time. Shankar was to be busy with 'Indian-2' for the rest of the year. However, some hiccups have delayed the Kamal Haasan-starrer. Dil Raju is said to have latched on to the opportunity.
The producer was in Chennai on Friday to reportedly finalize the project.
