Ram Charan's 15th movie is going to be helmed by Shankar, the reigning commercial director of Tamil cinema. It will be a pan-India film to be produced by Dil Raju. Ever since the project was made official on Friday, several speculations have been rife.
The biggest curiosity is around the budget of the untitled commercial entertainer. Shankar's films are easily among the costliest movies in the country. The only other south Indian directors who are known to mount such huge films are SS Rajamouli and Prashanth Neel. Shankar spends a bomb on songs and sets even when his movies are not targeted at the Hindi audience. The Ram Charan film is going to be made for the pan-Indian audience and one imagines how spectacular it might be.
Many are wondering that the budget could up upwards of Rs 250 Cr, given that just the remuneration of the hero-director duo could touch Rs 80 Cr. VFX will be massive, rumouredly. So, the costs would be definitely astronomical.
This is going to be the costliest movie in Dil Raju's 20-year-old career as a producer. For Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film is the 50th outing. If it becomes a blockbuster, Raju may well go on to make such big movies regularly at least. The producer started out with medium-range family entertainers. He went on to do films with superstars. And here he is doing the ultimate thing!
