The TSR-TV9 National Film Awards have been announced for the years 2017 and 2018. The jury consisted of T Subbarami Reddy (Chairman), Shobana Kamineni, Pinky Reddy, Nagma, Jeevitha, Meena and others.

For the year 2017, the Best Actor award went to Nandamuri Balakrishna for 'Gautamiputra Satakarni'. Rakul Preet Singh got the Best Actress award for 'Rarandoy Veduka Chuddam'. Best Heroine award went to Raashi Khanna for 'Jai Lava Kusa' and 'Raja The Great'. 'GPSK' won the Best Film award, while the Best Popular Film award went to 'Khaidi No. 150'. Krish Jagarlamudi won the Best Director award for 'GPSK'. Devi Sri Prasad won the Best Music Director award for 'Khaidi No. 150'.

For the year 2018, the Best Actor award went to Nagarjuna for 'Devadas'. Ram Charan was chosen for the Best Hero award. Kalyaan Dhev won the Best Hero Debut award for 'Vijetha'. For 'Mahanati', Keerthy Suresh and Rajendra Prasad won the Best Actress and Best Character Actor awards, respectively.

'Aravindha Sametha' fetched Best Heroine award for Pooja Hegde. The film gave Best Music Director award to SS Thaman. 'Nela Ticket' got Ali the Best Comedian award.

Best Film award for the year went to 'Mahanati', which gave Nag Ashwin the Best Director award. Best Popular Film award went to 'Rangasthalam'.

Special awards went to Mohan Babu (Dasari Narayana Rao Memorial Award), Boney Kapoor (Star Producer Award), Vidya Balan (National Star Sridevi Memorial Award), Nagma (Lifetime Achievement Award), Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry (Outstanding Cine Lyric Writer Award).
