Ram Charan missing National Award disappoints many

This time, the National Award for Best Actor (Male) has been shared by the Bollywood actors Ayushman Khurana (for 'Andhadhun') and Vicky Kaushal (and 'Uri').  Many down South are disappointed that the prestigious award has eluded a southern actor, once again.

As per some, Megapower Star Ram Charan deserved the award more than the winners.  "His performance in 'Rangasthalam' was impeccable.  I thought he stood a great chance.  By some unverifiable reports, the 'RRR' actor was in contention and missed the coveted award by a small margin," a social media user says.

Dhanush for 'Vada Chennai' (Tamil) and Mammootty for 'Peranbu' (Tamil) also deserved it more than the winners, say others.  Even in Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor (for 'Sanju) and Ranveer Singh (for 'Padmavat') deserved it more, others say.
