The success of 'Rangasthalam' has raised Ram Charan's box-office stature beyond doubt. By how much? By a very substantial margin. Early indications are very much here.
As per the latest industry buzz, DVV Danayya is expecting Rs. 75 crores for RC12's (directed by Boyapati Srinu) theatrical rights for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. If he gets what he is demanding, Danayya will have got Rs. 15 crores more than what Mythri Movie Makers got for 'Rangasthalam' before the film's release. (The Sukumar film was sold for Rs. 60 crores or thereabouts for AP and TS).
Going by this momentum, Cherry's 12th film could do a stunning pre-release business, leagues better than 'Rangasthalam'. The combined effect of Ram Charan, Boyapati and Sankranthi is there for everyone to see.
