Director Ram's 'Taramani' opened to positive reviews on August 11, 2017 and it has been continuing its successful run in Chennai box office till now even after the release of the mega biggie 'Vivegam'.
In the September 1-3 weekend -which saw two new Tamil releases, including 'Puriyatha Puthir' starring Vijay Sethupathi-'Taramani' was retained in four screens across Chennai with 12 shows. With that the film has collected Rs.2,14,659 and the average occupancy was 85%. The total collection is made by the film in Chennai has crossed Rs.1.3 crores (Rs.1,30,08,987). The film has been declared a 'Hit' in Chennai.
'Taramani' stars Andrea and Vasanth Ravi in lead roles. The film released after a long delay and it picked up mainly due to positive reviews and good word of mouth.
