After eight years of journey in cinema profession the topnotch actress today Rakul Preeth Singh speaking to media in Bengaluru admitted that she came to cinema for pocket money of Rs.2000.
Not recalling the first Kannada cinema name ‘Gilli’ she acted with Gururaj Jaggesh, Rakul Preeth Singh a Punjabi girl accepted the offer just for her pocket money that was 2000 rupees in 2009. She had ambition of purchasing a car and show off in front of her friends.

My first cinema was in Kannada when I was studying in college. I was in to modeling. I had no idea of south Indian films. I only knew that the Kannada film was remake of Tamil film ‘7 G Rainbow Colony’. I was curious to get my pocket money for acting in that film. The producer of that film took consent of my father Rakul Preeth Singh recounted her earlier days.
