Readers may know very well that actor Suriya and director Sevlaraghavan will be teaming up to do a film after finishing their current commitments. This will be Suriya's 36th film and hence referred as 'Suriya 36'.

Now we learn that Rakul Preet Singh is likely to play the heroine in Suriya 36. Rakul is currently shooting for A.R. Murugadoss's Tamil-Telugu bilingual with Mahesh Babu and 'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru' with Karthi. She is also one of the top contenders for actor Vijay's 62nd film to be directed by A.R. Murugadoss. Now it looks most likely that she will also pair up with Suriya on the roll.

However we will have to wait for an official confirmation about this.

The Selva-Suriya film will be produced by S.R. Prabhu and S.R. Prakash Babu while Yuvan Shankar Raja is expected to be the music director.

Suriya is busy with the final leg of shooting for his 35th film 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' while Selva is busy shooting 'Mannavan Vandhanadi' with Santhanam in lead role. The actor and director are expected to start working together after finishing these films.
