Chinmayi is continuing to take up the fight to protect women and children against sexual abuse and has now formulated a workshop to bring awareness in schools which is being appreciated from all quarters. However she also faces unwanted trolls on social media and sometimes for things that are not even connected to her.

Chinmayi's husband Rahul Ravindran has directed a new movie 'Manmadhudu 2' starring Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead and the teaser has been released receiving appreciation. One shot of Rakul smoking has become controversial as Chinmayi's followers are trolling her. It's not only this but they are also pointing to a 2013 tweet of Chinmayi in which she has criticized very old heroes romancing young girls on-screen and are stating that Rahul Ravindran has also cast 59-year-old Nag opposite 28-year-old Rakul.

Its an obvious case of fans not seeing cinema as an entertainment medium while what the famous singer is doing in real life is fighting for real issues that women are facing.
