Rakul Preet Singh moves Delhi High Court against fake news in drugs case

Soon after her name came to be reported in the drugs case, Rakul Preet Singh approached the Delhi High Court against media trials more than a week ago. She was interrogated by the NCB on Friday.

The news is that, on Saturday, the 'Sarrainodu' and 'Dhruva' actress once again approached the Delhi HC to seek an "interim direction" to the Centre, Press Council of India (regulator of newspapers) and the News Broadcasters Association (related to TV channels).

Rakul is hurt that sections of media reported on September 23 that she had reached Mumbai for NCB questioning, while the fact, she told the High Court, is that it was on the morning of the 24th that she received summons through WhatsApp.

The actress, who was shooting for a Telugu film in the direction of Krish Jagarlamudi in Hyderabad till the other day, urged the court to direct the government, the PCI and the NBA not to broadcast any programme or publish anything linking her with the drug case.

She wants the NCB investigation to be completed before any reportage can happen.
