Director Shankar and actor Ram Charan are working together in a political thriller called RC 15. Produced by Dil Raju, the film will go on floors later this year soon after Charan wraps up RRR and Acharya. A little birdie in the know informed Indiaglitz that Rakul Preet Singh is the front runner to play the female lead in RC 15, which is being made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi on a pan-Indian scale.

"Dil Raju is planning to cast Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead opposite Ram Charan. He is confident that Shankar, who was impressed with Rakul Preet's works including the portions she shot for Indian 2 (Bharateeyudu 2), will have no inhibitions to bring her on board," says a source close to the development.

For the uninitiated, Rakul Preet and Charan have earlier worked in films like Bruce Lee and Dhruva and their onscreen chemistry has won praises from all corners. Now that Rakul is being considered for RC 15, a hat-trick with Charan is in the offing for her.

Rakul Preet was last seen in Nithiin-starrer Check where she played a lawyer. Despite the film garnering a lacklustre response at the box-office, her performance has been received well by the audience. Up next, Rakul will next be seen in director Krish's untitled rustic drama also featuring Panja Vaisshnav Tej as the male lead.
