This year, 'Khakee' is easily one of the most important releases that Rakul Preet Singh will have. Acting opposite Karthi in a village girl's role, she is set to seem like another version of Brahmaramba of 'Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam'.

"I am playing a middle-class girl in this cop drama and there are very cute scenes between Karthi and me. Not all the scenes are dialogue-based; rather some of them are momentous and time-oriented," Rakul avers, adding that her role is "homely, slice-of-life and girl-next-door'.

Saying that doing the movie has been a very memorable experience for her, Rakul adds, "I waited with a bated breath to join the film's shoot as I was offered a very challenging role. And when I joined the unit, I enjoyed every moment. I now can't wait to see the response of the audiences."

Produced by Umesh Gupta and Subhash Gupta of Aditya Music Pvt.Ltd, the Tamil-Telugu film, directed by H Vinoth, is set for a big release on Nov 17.
