“She's the next Anushka Shetty in Tollywood”, said director Gopichand Malineni, referring to Rakul Preet Singh, during the audio of the Pandaga Chesko.

Rakul played one of the leading ladies in the family entertainer and holding the slender beauty in high esteem, the director added, “I was clear from the beginning that I wanted to cast a popular actress and felt Rakul fits the bill perfectly. Anushka is immensely talented, hard working, down to earth and I could draw all those parities in Rakul just in the initial days of the film's shoot, and undoubtedly Rakul is the another Anushka in T-Town. That's the kind of professionalism a filmmaker looks forward to from his actors.”
