Rakul Preet Singh may have acted in at least three big-ticketers so far - Bruce Lee (and now Dhruva with Ram Charan), Nannaku Prematho, and Sarrainodu, but it's AR Murgadoss' behemoth which is till date her biggest film. The facts that Mahesh Babu is a superstar and this one is a bi-lingual, have only meant that Rakul gave the nod without even asking her director to narrate the story.

When Srikanth Addala contacted her for Brahmotsavam, the damsel was not lucky enough to give call sheets. She was busy mainly with Nannaku Prematho and Sarrainodu back then. However, when Parineeti Chopra didn't sign up the film, the coveted offer was all Rakul. This time, she lost no time in becoming Mahesh's darling in this Rs. 100 cr film.

Besides being a Murugadoss fan since the days of Ghajini, Rakul seems to have given the nod without reading the script as she knows for sure that the talented director never portrays his heroines as objects or objectionably. She must surely be having a meatier role here. In the past, Sukumar gave her one such role.

One hopes the Rakul-Mahesh combo will rock.
