Rakesh Unni a rubber plantation worker in Kerala has become an overnight sensation after his video singing "Unnai Kaanaadhu naan" from Kamal Haasan's 'Vishwaroopam' became viral. The original composer and singer of the song, Shankar Mahadevan himself appreciated the raw talent.

Now to top it all Rakesh Unni met Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and sang the song before him and was appreciated by the legend who encouraged him by showing thumbs up at every emphatic line. The power of social media has taken this singer to these heights which would never have been possible even a few years earlier.
