Nagarjuna's 'Raju Gari Gadhi 2' Movie LaunchGallery

Nagarjuna's 'Raju Gari Gadhi2' today was launched at Annapurna Studios. The event was graced by Nag, the producer PVP, director Ohmkar, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Nag said that it's a big-budgeted movie with a novel concept. He described it as that treads the middle path between thriller and horror. "It's going to be a rollercoaster ride with laughs and thrills. After 'Om Namo Venkatesaya', I am doing an interesting character like the one I did in 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' and 'Oopiri'. 'Manam' was a turnaround in my career. When PVP and Ohmkar called me up, I told them I will do the film only if it's not a regular subject. This is a thriller entertainer. Although this is my favourite genre, nobody ever offered me this."

Nag further said, "Although I haven't watched 'Raju Gari Gadhi', I have heard about him. I am confident that he will do this film in the way everybody will like. Ever since I listened to the script, I am excited about shooting for this movie. My get-up will be anew. Coming to my character, I play with people."

PVP said, "This will be a memorable film in Nagarjuna garu's career. 'Raju Gari Gadhi2' is yet another prestigious movie in our banner after 'Oopiri'. Taking into consideration some of his suggestions, suitable changes have been made to the script. The shoot will begin from the first week of December."

Writer Abburi Ravi said, "It was 'Don' which was my first movie with Nag garu, followed by 'Oopiri' and now this one. He is playing a character he has never done in the past. This will be among his best characters."

SS Thaman said, "I am feeling very happy to be working for this movie. This is my first movie with PVP Cinema after 'Balupu'. Ohmkar has come up with a terrific script."

Director Ohmkar said, "Released for Dasara on Oct 27 last year, 'Raju Gari Gadhi' was a big hit. It was on the same day this year that I narrated this script to Nagarjuna garu. He immediately said he will do the film. I think all this has happened with God's grace. Starting out as a TV host, I have come to this stage after so much of striving. I am going to present a never-seen-before Nagarjuna garu."

Cinematography is by Diwakaran, while Art direction is by AS Prakash. Vennela Kishore, Ashwin Babu, Praveen and Shakalaka Shankar are part of the cast.
