Superstar Rajnikanth had completed shooting and dubbing of his 167th movie Darbar, which is directed by AR Murugadoss, and the movie's trailer was released recently to great response. Produced by Lyca Productions, Darbar is expected to release a week ahead of Pongal.

Rajnikanth has next started shooting for his 168th movie which is directed by Siva, and this movie produced by Sun Pictures went on floors yesterday with a song shoot in Ramoji Film City. The star studded film is expected to release in August or September 2020.

Now there are speculations making rounds that Superstar Rajnikanth has planned to team up with his son in law, actor and producer Dhanush for the second time after Kaala, for his 169th movie, and it has been said that this movie might be a joint production venture of Dhanush and Kalaipuli S Thaanu, and that the director of this movie will be decided after Siva's movie.
