Superstar Rajinikanth who was last seen in the commercially successful action packed revenge thriller Petta directed by young maker Karthik Subbaraj, is all set to join hands with director AR Murugadoss for his 166th movie, produced by Lyca Productions.

This movie is reported to have Nayanthara playing the female lead after starring alongside Superstar in movies like Chandramukhi, Sivaji and Kuselan, and Anirudh will be scoring the music. Ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan will be cranking the camera, joining Superstar after the classic Thalapathi.

Now the latest buzz is that AR Murugadoss and team have planned to shoot Thalaivar 166 completely in Mumbai. With Rajnikanth's blockbuster movie Baasha and the recent Kaala having the Mumbai connect and Murugadoss also having a Mumbai-set Blockbuster with Vijay's Thuppakki, this movie is expected to cash in on the sentiment as well.
