Director AR Murugadoss, who has directed superhit movies like Ramana, Thuppakkai, Ghajini, Kaththi and Dheena has now completed his next movie Darbar which has Superstar Rajnikanth playing the lead, and the movie produced by Lyca Productions releases on January 9.

In a recent interview, AR Murugadoss has revealed that he had initially wanted to direct a sequel to Chandramukhi with Vettaiyan as the central character and had narrated a story which was also liked by Superstar, but due to several reasons, they did not make Vettaiyan movie.

AR Murugadoss said that Rajnikanth is a youngster by heart, and he plays Mumbai police commissioner in Darbar, and there will be a reason why he has a beard in the movie. Nayanthara who plays his pair will be seen as an architect, and the movie also stars Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu.
