Rajnikanth has agreed to shave his head for Sivaji. According to reliable sources, this is the first time in his career spanning 30 years, Rajnikanth would tonsure his head for the movie. Sivaji is directed by Shankar and produced by AVM Productions.

Shreya is cast opposite Rajnikanth, while Nayantra has appeared for an item number. Music is by A R Rahman. One of the big-budgeted movies in Tamil industry, Sivaji is expected for release in April, 2007.
