The grand musical event Ilayaraja 75, organised by the TFPC was a huge success with almost all the top names from South film industries gracing the occasion and the two day event was a beautiful tribute to Isaignani Ilayaraja.

Yesterday saw the presence of Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaga nayagan Kamal Haasan, and when Rajinikanth spoke, he said "Music is the best art, as musicians are blessed by God, and have the power to control us. Some Lingas are created in water, some by man, while some, are self made (Suyambu Linga). Ilayaraja is a Suyambu Linga and he's a rarity and when he comes out, the impact will be powerful".

"I've been watching his powers from Annakili days, and he calls me Samy just like how I call him the same. He made me sing in Mannan, and though he has given lot of great songs for me, he gave the best for Kamal Haasan" said Rajni. Ilayaraja in an instant response said, "While he says so, even Kamal says why I am not giving songs for him like I give for Rajni", and Kamal nodded in response to Ilayaraja's statement. With the legends sharing their memories, Ilayaraja 75 turned out to be an interesting event.
