After debuting in Bollywood with the film "Tere Mere Sapne," Rajkummar Rao is ready with his next biopic, "Srikanth," where he is playing the real-life character of one of the first visually impaired entrepreneurs of the country, Srikanth Bolla. Bolla had become an inspiration to many people when he set up Bollant Industries, providing job opportunities for the visually impaired.
Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, "Srikanth" features Alaya F, Sharad Kelkar, and Jyotika in lead roles beside Rao. The official trailer for the movie was released on April 9, introducing the journey of Srikanth. In the film's trailer, Rao, the actor playing his character, can be seen with a dream of being in front of the first blind President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam. Jyotika, as the teacher's actor, shows how she is helping him fight against the Indian education system and securing a scholarship for her student at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The teaser also introduces Sharad Kelkar as Bolla's venture investor and Alaya F, probably for his love life. The Makers shared the trailer on social media with the caption "An extraordinary journey to enter Srikanth's vision." "Srikanth" is to hit theaters on May 10, 2024.
Apart from "Srikanth," Rajkummar Rao has three other projects in the pipeline: "Stree 2," "Mr. and Mrs. Mahi," and "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video."
