It was announced a little while ago that actors Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar are going to share screen in director Harshvardhan Kulkarni's upcoming film 'Badhaai Do'. The filming has wrapped up and the project seems to have an official release date now. It is going to hit the theatres on Republic Day Weekend 2022. Rajkummar Rao took to Instagram to share this update. 

He posted a pic in which he and Bhumi can be seen sharing a happy moment with Harshvardhan and wrote, "Theatre ready... Aap ready... Toh hum bhi ready.. Republic Day weekend 2022 ko aa rahe hain hum aapse milne in cinemas to celebrate... So save the date!! And congratulations nahi #BadhaaiDo."

Director Kulkarni is very excited for films release and in  a recent statement he talked about how important the theatrical release is for this film. He said, "When it comes to family entertainers especially comedy films, cinema is the ideal platform as they can be enjoyed with the entire family. "We are super excited to bring 'Badhaai Do' in cinema halls on the Republic Day weekend. It's a wholesome entertainer and I really hope the audiences would enjoy watching the movie as much as we enjoyed creating it."
