Talented young actors Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra are going to share screen in the upcoming thriller flick 'Hit: The First Case'. The project was announced a few weeks back and on Saturday, makers shared its release date as well. Like several other films these days, 'Hit' is also a remake of a Telugu blockbuster. Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Dil Raju, the project will be directed by Sailesh Kolanu who also directed the original.

The film is set to hit the theatres on 20th of May 2022. In one of their latest Instagram posts, T-Series wrote, "Get set for Bhushan Kumar & Dil Raju’s HIT The First Case, starring @RajkummarRao & @sanyamalhotra07 the mystery thriller to release on 20th May 2022."

Rajkummar Rao, who is a big fan of the original, is super excited to work in the 'Hit' remake. He had said earlier, "When I saw HIT, I instantly connected with it. It's an engaging story, relevant in today's environment. As an actor I am always on the look out to play characters I haven’t explored and HIT gives me a chance to do that. I'm looking forward to take this journey with Sailesh and Dil Raju."
