Here is news for those who are wondering what "Murder" heroine Mallika Sherawat is up to: she has signed three new films that include one by Rajkumar Santoshi.

"A friend of mine is producing it. I'm the presenter. It's a romantic comedy to be directed by K. Subhash," Santoshi told IANS.

The film is heroine-centric. The actress has decided that after "Murder" she'll only feature in pivotal roles.

"Yes it's a central role," concedes Santoshi.

Santoshi says "Mallika is a talented girl. But what I like about her is she's very hardworking. And she has given us two months at a stretch in October. I'll be the creative consultant on the project."

Right now is busy putting finishing touches to the script of his directorial project "Ranvir", with Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead.

"'Ranvir', an action-adventure film, is very different from run-of-the-mill cinema. Hopefully, I'll complete it early next year."

Besides Santoshi's romantic comedy, Mallika has also signed films with producer S. Ramanthan and Harish Sugandh.

Her next release is Govind Menon's "Kiss Kiss Ki Kismat", which she describes as a "purely vegetarian film". Dharmendra plays her father-in-law in the film.
