There's some intense off camera drama going on in the film industry. Everything was seemingly going smooth with the Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and Laksh Lalwani starrer 'Dostana 2' but then Dharma Productions announced that Kartik has been fired from the project and he'll be replaced soon. Apparently, Kartik was the second choice for the role and after his fallout with Dharma, makers are going back to approach their first choice again.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, "Dharma Productions is considering to bring Rajkummar Rao on board for Dostana 2. He was their first choice when the project was being made but at the time, he couldn’t do the film due to his dates. Now, that makers are keen on enlisting someone, they are once again thinking of Rao who was fit for the role. Interestingly, Rao and Janhvi Kapoor recently worked together in horror-comedy Roohi and have a great work rapport.”

The source went on, "Karan Johar is still figuring out who to cast for the lead role. The director Collin D'Cunha is currently working making changes in the script, accordingly."

Rajkummar Rao sure is a talented actor and his involvement can elevate any film but he is very specific about his film choices so it'd be interesting to see how things play out.
