Kannada thespian Dr. Rajkumar is considered one of the greatest acting legends of Indian cinema. His granddaughter Dhanya Ramkumar has already shot for her debut Kannada movie, which is titled 'Ninna Sanihake'. The news is that the youngster has now announced that she will be stepping into Tamil cinema.

While details about her Kollywood debut are awaited, Dhanya is quite upbeat about making her Tamil debut. She is the daughter of Poornima Rajkumar and Ramkumar, with the former being the daughter of Dr. Rajkumar.

As for her debut movie, 'Ninna Sahihake', it will hit the screens on August 20. It was supposed to be a grand Summer release. But the second wave has pushed its release date. The makers have chosen the date because it's considered auspicious in the Hindu calendar. The Varamahalakshmi festival falls on that date this year.

As for Rajkumar, the legendary actor passed away at the age of 76 in 2006.
