Actor Shiva was last seen on screen last year in back to back hit movies - the Sundar C directorial comedy entertainer Kalakalappu 2 and the spoof sequel Tamizh Padam 2.0 directed by CS Amudhan, which gave him a hattrick of hits after Chennai 600028 IInd Innings by Venkat Prabhu.

The latest speculations making rounds is that Shiva has been approached by director and cinematographer Rajiv Menon for his next project. Rajiv Menon had returned to direction early this year with the musical entertainer Sarvam Thaala Mayam starring GV Prakash, and the movie was not a commercial success.

Reportedly, this project with Shiva and Rajiv Menon will be a thriller, and the movie might be shot in Japan. On the other hand, Shiva is awaiting the release of his long delayed entertainer Party, directed by Venkat Prabhu, and also starring a battalion of stars including Jai, Sathyaraj, Shaam, Chandran, Nivetha Pethuraj, Regina Cassandra and Sanchita Shetty.
