Superstar Rajinikanth has wished a happy New Year to his fans and the people of Tamil Nadu and prayed the Almighty that the New Year brings prosperity to everyone.
In a statement issued in Chennai Thursday, Rajini also thanked his fans who did lots of good things to mark his 60th birthday celebrations on December 12.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Tamil Nadu, his friends in film industry, politics and the media who greeted him on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
Meanwhile, sources have it that the Superstar, who was shooting for Endhiran in Pune, came to Chennai on Thursday to spend the New Year day with his family members.
On way home, he also reportedly alighted at Bangalore for a short while to pay tributes to his good friend and Kannada Superstar Vishnuvaradhan, who passed away on Wednesday.
