In the Ad Bureau Bengaluru Vs Media One Global Entertainment loan case, the Supreme Court has ordered Latha Rajinikanth, wife of Superstar Rajinikanth, a director of the latter firm, to face a trial due to the failure of repayment of Rs. 6.20 crores before July 10.
The apex court has set aside a Bengaluru court order quashing criminal proceedings against Latha with the judges concluding that it's a fit case for the commencement of a trial. During the post-production of 'Kochadaiyaan',
which was directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth on Latha's personal guarantee, Media One Global is alleged to have procured Rs. 10 crores loan from Ad Bureau Bengaluru. But it has since failed to repay the amount in full.
