Vallabhaneni Ashok, the producer of Rajinikanth's 'Peta', has stunned the film industry by making extreme comments against some producers who have a grip on a substantial number of theatres across the Telugu States. His comments come in the wake of the talk that 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' and 'F2' are dominating the scene this season at the cost of 'Peta' and even 'NTR-Kathanayakudu'.
He began his speech normally, by hailing Rajinikanth's philanthropic activities. And then came the big attack. "UV Creations, Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and others behave as if they were born with theatres in their hands. Why are they pained to let other films play in the theatres? If a film is good, people will definitely watch it. These people crowd theatres with too many films. And they don't let good films in. How is it fair?" he thundered.
"KCR garu is a dynamic chief minister. He has come back to power, thanks to public support. The audience wants to watch the best films, the films they like. Who has the right to restrict their choices? KCR garu and Chandrababu Naidu garu should teach the theatre mafia a lesson. This mafia is killing small films. Compared to other Sankranthi releases, my film 'Peta' is in a dire situation in terms of the scale of the release. I am too ashamed to even talk about the situation," he said.
He exuded confidence that 'Peta' will bounce back in the second week.
