Whoa! Superstar Rajinikanth and Yash teaming up for milestone project?

The hot news doing the rounds in the Indian film industry is that legendary Superstar Rajinikanth and the current pan Indian superstar Yash are all set to share screen space in a milestone movie project.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s next movie ‘Jailer’ is slated for release on August 11th this year and he will be wrapping up his portions for Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s ‘Laal Salaam’ in a few week’s time.  The 72 year old thespian’s 170th film directed by T. J. Gnanavel will go on floors in a couple of month’s time.  The film produced by Lyca Productions also has Amitabh Bachchan and Action King Arjun in important roles.

We broke the news long back that Rajini’s 171st film will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.  There are even reports that this could be the last film of Rajini as he wishes to move away from the limelight with a bang. As reported by us earlier the front runner to bankroll this project is Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International while there are also other big companies vying for the mega project.

Now the red hot news is that Lokesh Kanagaraj is keen to cast ‘KGF’ fame Yash in a parallel lead role in ‘Thalaivar 171’.  Since he has already held talks with the Kannada megastar and they share a good rapport the chances of him giving his nod is bright.  Furthermore Yash is a hardcore Rajini fan as well and wouldnt want to miss this opportunity.  This and other confirmations on the much anticipated project will only arrive in the last quarter of this year.

Lokesh Kanagaraj meanwhile is in the final leg of shooting for Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Leo’ that has music by Anirudh and costars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Mansoor Ali Khan and others.
