As we all know Superstar Rajinikanth plays an ageing don in the film 'Kaala Karikaalan' directed by Pa.Ranjith. The shoot is happening in Dharavi area of Mumbai. Earlier it was speculated that the film is a biopic on the dreaded Tamil don Haji Masthan but the makers clarified that the film has nothing to with Haji Masthan's life.

Now it has been almost confirmed that Rajinikanth plays a person shifted to Mumbai from Tirunelveli of Tamil Nadu. Sources reveal that for the first time ever in his career, Thalaivar will be speaking in the Nellai dialect of Tamil in 'Kaala'.

The shooting of 'Kaala' started on May 28th. The recently released pictures depict Rajinikanth and others wearing a skull cap and visiting a festival in a Muslims' residential area. This has lead to speculation whether Rajinikanth plays a Muslim in the film.

'Kaala' is being produced by Dhanush under his Wubderbar Films banner
