Last week IndiaGlitz had reported that Superstar Rajinikanth will resume shooting for his upcoming mega budget sci-fi entertainer '2.0' from September third week

Now sources confirm that Thalaiavar will start shooting for the Lyca production venture from this Friday (September 23) in Chennai. The film's lead villain Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson are also expected to join the Supertar in this Chennai schedule.

Rajinikanth took a break from the shooting of '2.0' towards the end of June and visited USA for medical treatment. He returned to India in the last week of July.

In the meantime Shankar shot the portions that do not require the presence of lead actors.

Sources also reveal that the First look and the official announcement on the release date of '2.0' may be expected to arrive in the third week of November.
