Rajinikanth's philosophical statement regarding Raghavendra Hall controversy
- IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,October 15 2020]
Superstar Rajinikanth was in the news on Wednesday for a controversial reason regarding the property tax dues for his Raghavendra Marriage Hall in Kodambakkam, Chennai. The Corporation had levied rupees 6.5 lakhs and Rajini's counsel approached the High Court praying that due to coronavirus pandemic lockdown there was no income for the hall and the tax should be reduced.
The judge handling the case called this petition wasting the time of the court as there was no call to go legal when the notice was just ten days old and Rajini should have appealed to the corporation. The judge also warned that a fine will be levied for the uncalled for the petition and the advocate withdrew it yesterday.
Rajini has opened up on Twitter regarding the controversy and has philosophically stated that he should have appealed to the corporation and avoided the mistake in court but the experience is the lesson. No need to add that his fans and followers are lauding his open admission of a mistake publicly.
Rajinikanth after releasing the statement has paid the full dues of 6.5 lakhs property tax for the Raghavendhra Marriage Hall to the Chennai Corporation and has put an end to all the controversies surrounding it.
