Ever since the announcement on '2.0', the second installment of 'Robo' series, came the entire Indian cinema has been shaken with the sky-high expectations. With a whole new level of star cast including Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, and many other big name technicians, '2.0', directed by Shankar, is the talk of the country.

Yesterday, a grand event was set to launch the first look posters of '2.0' held in Mumbai. All the stars from lead cast and other prominent technicians have graced the event with their presence and made the FL launch massive and extravagant. Here's what happened during the launch.

Writer Jeyamohan, editor Anthony, Nirav Shah, Srinivas, and others have came in early to the carpet and shared a few words about the movie. Later, the star team entered the carpet and posed for the photos. Celebrities like Arya and Vijay Antony also attended the event to watch out the magic in person.

Hosted by Karan Johar, the event started with the superstars and celeb guests along with fans and press. Here's what the respective stars and technicians had to say about '2.0'

Jeyamohan(Writer): The writer said that '2.0' is low on romance and high on technical aspects. "It's a realistic drama," he added.

Srinivas Mohan (VFX Supervisor): Shankar always brings the new concept which is challenging for us. It's really big, and whatever I have worked for till date it's altogether different and bigger in 2.0. 2.0 will not be just a movie, but an experience.

Amy Jackson: It's a privilege and pleasure to work with Rajinikanth sir. Shankar sir is a taskmaster and I have worked for 3 years with him. He has a great vision and he gets whatever he thinks from an artist. '2.0' will be phenomenal, if I have to sum it up in one word.

Editor Anthony: '2.0' is ten times tougher than the films I have worked till now. I have to wear 3D glasses every time to cut it, and that's very challenging.

Resul Pookutty(Sound Designer):'2,0' will be the first film to be released in the new sound format.

Subaskaran(Chairman- Lyca Productions): I liked the script and said, "Go for it".

Raju Mahalingam(Creative Head - Lyca Productions): I have to thank Subaskaran on behalf of all superstars fans for making him come close to our eyes(3D) with this huge budget. He's like the Shajahan of cinema to create Taj Mahal for all of us.

Shankar: I have to deliver better than what I did for 'Enthiran' ('Robo'). 'Enthiran' was like climbing the Mt.Everest and '2.0' is like having the Everest on shoulders. There will be a third part as well.

Akshay Kumar: I have never done this much make-up in my life for any film. I have to sit for 3 hours for makeup and I thank '2.0' crew for this. I was first shocked to act in front of Rajinikanth whose fan everyone is.I believe in the script of '2.0' and I am sure it will create history in Indian cinema.

Rajinikanth: I am not the hero of '2.0', but Akshay Kumar is. He has done a lot of hard work for his role. '2.0' is a prestigious picture of whole Indian cinema. This will reach Hollywood level. '2.0 has been shot in 3D and to be frank it's really tough to work with Shankar. He's a perfectionist.

And the last one to join the club is none other than Salman Khan, who come into the auditorium straight from Bandra, just for this event. The Bollywood superstar graced the event with his surprise visit and said, 'I have come to this event knowing that Superstar Rajinikanth is here".

With rocking three official poster of '2.0' got released at the event, Karan Johar wrapped it up after playing a 3D motion poster of the film.
