Amid his busy schedule as a film star and ground work for entering politics in 2021 elections, Superstar Rajinikanth has given a detailed interview to popular National English weekly 'India Today'.
In that he has answered various questions including about his political plans and also the present political situation in the country.
Rajinikanth has always been considered by a section of political commentators as someone close to the ideology of Bharathiya Janata Party. During the run up to the 2014 General Elections, the then PM candidate Narendra Modi made a personal visit to Rajinikanth's residence at Poes Garden. In that election Modi and his party were elected with a thumping majority which lead to the formation of the BJP lead NDA Government at the center.
Now the NDA Government has completed more than four and half years and are gearing up for the next elections in 2019. At this time Rajinikanth who is one of the most influential icons of Indian cinema has praised PM Modi's intentions to do good for the people and the country.
The Superstar has been quoted in the interview saying "He seriously wants to do good for the nation, he is trying hard and he is trying his best. That's all I want to say for now."
