With just a few days remaining for the end of the year 2016, the popular Forbes India magazine has released the list of Top 100 celebrities of India. Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan has topped the list with the first rank.

Bollywood Badshaah Shah Rukh Khan who was topped last year's list with the first rank has now descended to second with Sallu Bhai. propelling to the top.

Indian Test Cricket team skipper Virat Kohli has achieved the third rank.

Akshay Kumar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Deepika Padukone, Sachin Tendulkar, Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan have captured the ranks between four to ten in the top ten positions.

As far as celebrities from the South India are concerned Isaipuyal A.R.Rahman is the top most with the 13th rank. Superstar Rajinikanth is in 33rd place. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is the 49th out of 100 while his daughter Shruthi Haasan at 47 has got a higher rank than that of her father.

Suriya (51), Kajal Aggarwal (53), Ilayathalapathy Vijay (61), Chiyaan Vikram (72) and Prabhu Deva (90) are the other Kollywood celebrities in the top 100 list.

it is to be noted that the list is compiled on the basis of estimates of earnings from entertainment industry and fame for the period between 1st October 2015 to 30th September 2016.
