While there has been a month long speculation about what would be Superstar Rajinikanth`s next film, an official confirmation has just come in.

Yes, it is going to be Rajini with Pa. Ranjith as director and the film will commence shooting continuously for 60 days from August and the locations are going to be in Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Chennai. Kalaipuli Thanu, who first used the Superstar tag for Rajini while promoting his film Bhairavi` is producing a Rajini film for the first time and will be presenting the film under his V Creations banner.

Santhosh Narayanan is the music director, Praveen K.L is the editor, Murali G is the cinematographer and Ramalingam is the art director. The heroine and the rest of the cast will be confirmed soon.
