As expected, Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' has been shattering the box office record created by earlier blockbusters. A few hours ago IndiaGlitz had reported that the film has created a new record in Chennai box office by collecting over three crores in its opening weekend.
Now we get the information from a trusted trade source that the Pa.Ranjith directorial flick has grossed over Rs.85 crores in the overseas centres in its first three days of release. This is touted to be the biggest ever overseas opening weekend gross for a South Indian film.
Here we present you the collections registered by Thalaivar's realistic don flick in a few countries with a large share of market for Tamil films.
USA- Rs.27 crores
UK & other European locations- Rs.4.25 crores
Malaysia- Rs.14 crores
Singapore- Rs.5 crores
UAE- Rs.23 crores
Rest of the world- Rs.10-12 crores
Total= Rs.85 crores (approximate)
That's the power of Rajinikanth and that's why he is aptly called as the Box Office Samrat.
