Earlier today we had reported that Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' has made a whopping collection of Rs.20.5 crores in Tamil Nadu on its first day of its release (July 22). Now day one collection reports coming from other places prove that the film has taken a really earth shattering opening and it will be a box office blockbuster despite mixed reviews.

In Chennai city alone, where it was screened 287 shows in 26 screens, the Pa.Ranjith directorial has collected above one crore (Rs.1,11,90,680).

Even in other states and overseas territories, the film has got a historic opening as expected of a Thalaivar film.

Andhra Pradesh- Rs.13.85 crores

North India- Rs.4.5 crores

USA- Rs.18 crores

UK- Rs.2 crores

UAE - Rs.12 crores

Singapore- Rs.2.5 crores
