Despite getting mixed reviews, 'Kabali' has been making history in the box office. We had earlier reported that the first day collection of the film in Chennai city alone, has exceeded rupees one crore.

Now we learn from a trade source that the Pa.Ranjith directorial has collected Rs.3,82,61,405 in its opening three day weekend (July 22 to July 24) in Chennai. 981 shows have been screened in 26 theaters (includes malls, multiplexes and singe screens) across the city) in these three days and the overall theater occupancy rate is 98%. The film, is expected to continue to retain the momentum in the weekdays starting from today as many shows across the city are already houseful for the next two, three days .
