Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' is a clear blockbuster of 2016 and it is still running in a theatre in Tamil Nadu. Directed by Pa.Ranjith, 'Kabali' released on July 22,2016 has completed 225 Days of theatrical run in Madurai Imphala theatre.

Recently a section of distributors started claiming that the film has resulted in huge loss for distributors and theatre owners.

Producer Thanu, shot back in his own inimitable style by making a public announcement about the film's whopping collection in today's newspaper ads about the film running on its 225th day in Imphala theater.

The ad claims that 'Kabali' has collected a total of Rs.11,42,44,715 in Chennai city alone. The ad also claims that this is a record breaking collection in the 100 year history of Tamil cinema.

And this comes on the day when the Superstar's 1995 blockbuster 'Baashaa' has released and running to packed houses in all centres.
