Superstar Rajinikanth was hounded by newsmen yesterday and a question was posed why there is a delay in the pardon petition of the seven accused in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination. He had replied that he does not know the status but his reply was misconstrued as if he said he did not know who the seven people were. It is a known fact that when Perarivalan came out on parole Rajini spoke to him and his mother over phone as revealed by their lawyer.

Rajinikanth met the press today to clarify on the issue and also his statement that the BJP is a dangerous party which he felt that it is the people who should decide and he only said that it is seen as a danger by the opposition. Regarding a question about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Thalaivar answered with a question of his own to press asking who is powerful the one (Modi) that ten people (Opposition coalition) are joining together to usurp. Regarding the problem in Karnataka trying to ban his '2.0' release Rajini in his own humorous style said that the law in that state would take care of that.
