Expressing his gratitude for fans , media, police personnel and Tamil Nadu people, Rajinikanth assured that with the type of discipline and organisational prowess that was with his followers , anything was achievable.
On a humorous note, the star also stated that the long duration taken for this announcement was not intentional. Being the humble person he is, Rajini also talked about how he fears in handling media sensitively. He recalled a n anecdote where he was even asked for his ideologies and the advice to handle media with care.
Rajinikanth also brought about an analogy by bringing in Arjunan's situation in Kurukshethra . 'Put your efforts, result is mine' seemed to be the state's drive away message with respect to his political journey.
A thunderous uproar followed his confirmation of entering politics. Rajini then assured that he contest the upcoming election in all 234 constituencies. He also stated that he's not entering politics for fame, money or power. He even recalled that if fame and power was his goal he could have taken the decision at 1996 when the situation was conducive, not now.
Stating that the political situation is worse in the past year Rajini felt it was his duty to do something to the people who made him what he is. "Its not simple to start a political party without the support of the people," he said.
While stressing that the 'follower' is important Rajini asked for unbiased, courageous guardians in his followers who will work towards the proper reach of the schemes and welfare to the people. He also said that he's the people representative oversee the correct functioning of these activities for people's cause.
Rajinikanth also said that his fan clubs and 'mandrams' all over the state will be reorganised properly and encouraged one an all to join his efforts in doing doing for the people. He also vouched that with his followers will make a proper planned entry and before the upcoming elections.
It is also worth mentioning here that Rajinikanth's confidence was soaring when he said that he will resign from the responsibilities if he is not able to bring what he promised to the people.
Rajinikanth said his motto was 'Truth! Work! Rise!' in addition to thinking, speaking and doing only the good. Stating that he will take part in the upcoming assembly elections, he ended the speech on a high note by saying 'Vaazhga Tamil Makkal!Valarga Tamil Nadu ! Jai Hind!' (Long live Tamil, Rise Tamil, Jai Hind).
