Today has been one that is worth remembering for the Rajinikanth family. First came the news that Rajinikanth`s Kabali` has created a new record in North American sales by fetching a price of 8.5 Crores which is three times higher than the average Tamil film of any star. In the afternoon the central government announced that the Superstar has been conferred, the Padma Vibushan, the second highest civilian award in India.

Meanwhile Rajinikanth`s son-in-law Dhanush, the multi talented multilingual star was awarded the Best Lyricist at the IIFA for the crowd pleaser song Donnu Donnu Donnu…` from Maari`. To top it all today it has been confirmed that Dhanush is making a grand Hollywood debut opposite Uma Thurman in a film titled 'The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir Who Got trapped In An Ikea Cupboard' directed by noted Iranian-French filmmaker Marjane Satrapi. Both the loveable stars from the same family have made Tamil cinema proud. Congratulations Again!
