The stiff opposition from Hindu religious outfits and a leader of a prominent political party seems to have had little impact on entrepreneur and film producer Ashok Kheny who wished to make a multi-lingual biopic on Mysuru king Tippu Sultan with Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role.

In a recent interview to a leading English Daily, Kheny has said that it was Rajini`s idea to make a film on the life and times of Tippu Sultan as he considered him to be more secular than any other ruler who have ruled India in the medieval times.

Kheny has rubbished the charge of the Hindu outfits that Tippu was against Hindus and was responsible for massive killing and displacement of Hindus. He said that the ruler was friendly to people of all religions and the army, he formed to fight against the British had warriors from both Hindu and Islam religions in prominent posts.

Reacting to the claim that Rajini should not act in a film on Tippu Sultan, Kheny said that the Superstar was the one who belongs to everyone and anyone has the same right over him like others.

Kheny confirmed the final script for the film on Tippu Sultan will take at least one year from now to be complete and that the film would be made in multiple languages including Hindi.

So the possibilities of seeing our Thalaivar roaring as Tippu Sultan on silver screen are bright!!!
