Rajinikanth has completed shooting for the Rs. 400 Cr mega budget sci-fi entertainer '2.0' directed by Shankar. While the film is due for a grand Diwali release, the Superstar is ready to take the plunge for his next film.

Thalaivar's next with 'Kabali' director Pa.Ranjith, which will be produced by Dhanush on Wunderbar Films banner, will likely go to sets from April 14. The day is special for Tamil people, as it is their New Year Day. It is also the birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar. the man who drafted the Indian Constitution and the leader respected the most by director Ranjith. While this project was announced in July 2016, the makers were waiting for the Superstar to be free from his commitments for '2.0'. Now that the shooting has been completed it is time to start the much expected Rajini-Ranjith project. The other day, Ranjith denied the rumour that Deepika Padukone is the heroine of this untitled flick.
